In addition to offering direct services, FRCNs provide leadership in planning and implementing cross-system trainings and coordination that will promote a culture of adult and community responsibility for keeping children safe. Some examples include providing opportunities to increase community partners knowledge and understanding of evidence-based/best practice strategies; influencing community norms regarding maltreatment prevention and promote the social, emotional and cognitive development of young children; and, sharing individualized family support plans.
